Our saunas are equipped with a stainless steel lock so that you can secure the sauna in extreme weather or to prevent unwanted use. The hinges are spring-loaded and also made from stainless steel.

The sauna is delivered on a flatbed truck. Our team will hand-carry the pieces to your desired location and then assemble the sauna on-site.

No, a crane is not required since we build the saunas on-site.

- Prepare a flat, laser-level concrete slab that is at least the size of the sauna and 5 inches thick.
- For the 9kW HUUM heater, ensure a 40 amp supply from a mains consumer unit to a 40 amp rotary isolator switch, which we can install on the sauna.
- For the wood-fired option, electricity is only needed for LED lighting, requiring a 13 amp supply.

No, our saunas are complex and can take up to 4 days to build, so our specialist team will handle the assembly for you.

Maintenance is minimal. We recommend oiling the exterior wood with natural oil every 12 months.

In most cases, you won’t need planning permission for the Montclair sauna as it falls under permitted development rights. However, planning permission might be required in certain situations, such as:
- If the sauna is placed within 2 metres of your property boundary (as the Montclair is over 2.5 metres in height).
- If your property is a listed building or located in a conservation area, stricter rules may apply.
- If more than 50% of your garden is covered by buildings or extensions.
To avoid needing planning permission, you can place the sauna more than 2 metres away from the boundary, where a height limit of up to 3 metres is allowed.
For specific guidance, it’s best to check with your local planning authority.
